Dr. Jeffrey Kublin is a licensed optometrist, practicing in Boston since 1983. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his doctorate degree from the New England College of Optometry

In the late 80's, Dr. Kublin trained and worked with a leading ophthalmology practice, specializing in the care of patients with glaucoma and cataracts. In 1984, Dr. Kublin established a specialty practice in contact lenses and established Pro Optical.

Since then, Pro Optical has continued to grow, becoming a premier eyecare and eyewear office; offering the highest level of personal service and attention. In 2004, Pro Optical expanded and relocated to a new state of the art office at 175 Cambridge Street. Dr. Kublin has been a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and American Optometric Association since 1985.

Dr. Cheryl DePaolo Jost is a licensed optometrist who received her bachelors from the University of Massachusetts and her doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.

Dr. Jost trained via externships at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jamaica Plain, Dorchester House Community Health Center, Martha Eliot Community Health Center & The New England Eye Institute all in Boston, MA.

The doctor has worked in private practice in Boston specializing in contact lenses, primary eye care, and pre and post operative surgical co-management.

Dr. Jost is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Bao-Kim Nguyen is a licensed optometrist who received her bachelors from Smith College and her doctor of optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and Class Valedictorian in 2005.

Dr. Nguyen trained via externships at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Brockton, Dorchester House Community Health Center, South Boston Community Health Center, and the New England Eye Institute.

The doctor has worked in private practice in Boston specializing in contact lenses, primary eye care, and pre and postoperative surgical co- management. Dr. Nguyen is fluent in both Vietnamese and English.

Boston Eye Doctor  Dr. Duane Smith

Dr. Duane Smith is a licensed optometrist who has practiced in Cambridge and Boston since 1995. He received duel bachelors' degrees, with honors, in biology from Saint John Fisher College in Pittsford, NY and visual science from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Dr. Smith earned his doctorate degree from Illinois College of Optometry.

While a student, he developed an interest in research, earning an academic graduate award for original research. Dr. Smith participated in the original application of cyclosporine as a treatment for dry eye, was a co-investigator in the first study using an intra-ocular device for drug delivery and was the chief investigator of the Eye Watch project identifying when immune suppressed patients were at risk for ocular complications.

Dr. Smith has volunteered on a number of international trips to provide eye care for patients in developing countries who would otherwise have no access to such care. In addition, he is committed to meeting the needs of the under-served local community.

Dr. Smith specializes in primary eye care, contact lenses, keratoconus, and the pre/post surgical management of patients.

Danielle received her degree in Fashion Merchandising from Bay State College in 2004 and works with frame vendors to keep up with the latest trends.

Danielle enjoys being a part of patients' frame selections and her goal is for every patient to leave Pro Optical looking and feeling their best.

Lisa is a skilled Optometric and Contact Lens Technician and has been a valuable member of our patient care team since 2007.

Lisa prepares patients for eye examinations and performs many diagnostic tests including the Optomap retinal exam. She instructs patients in the care and use of contact lenses and maintains our contact lens inventory. Lisa is happy to assist you with any of your contact lens needs!
